Our story began
​2 years ago, a sweet "cow cat" started showing up at our door here in New York. We watched her battle everything the elements could throw at her. Freezing snow, pouring rain, and blistering heat. Comforting her needs but our hearts broke for her. Slowly, she went from a visitor at the back door to a permanent fixture on our steps, specifically waiting for my 14-year-old daughter. Who had recently lost her Grandfather and was "made at God" for taking him away from her. I knew our outdoor friend was an angel.
Because we already have an adopted ginger cat, and because my daughter is adopted herself, we knew we had to bring MooCow in. Adopting MooCow wasn’t just about saving a cat; it was a way for my daughter to see firsthand how wonderful and life-changing adoption can be.

​Why MooCow is Our Hero

​Right after Halloween, our world was shattered when my daughter’s best friend was tragically killed with no answers my daughters mental health was declining . In the wake of that devastating loss, MooCow has been an absolute angel for my daugter. She and my daughter are like peas and carrots, often my daughter watching outside her window all night long for MooCows safety. Inseparable and leaning on each other for comfort they both blossomed. MooCow has provided a sense of peace and companionship that nothing else could.

​The Medical Need

​While MooCow tested negative for diseases and is safe to be around our other cat, her time on the streets left its mark. She urgently needs fixed.

​Dental Surgery: She has several cracked teeth that cause her pain.
​Mass Removals: She has two large growths on her leg that must be surgically removed and biopsied.
​The total cost for her surgeries is $2,300.

​Why We Need You

​As much as we love her, we simply do not have the funds to cover this unexpected medical bill. The thought of surrendering MooCow and forcing my daughter to lose another best friend so soon after such a tragedy is unbearable.
