Moon is a 6-month-old Maltipoo in Lynwood, CA, who needs $2,000 for Surgery on Dislocated Hip and Broken Leg.

We love our Moon, she was gifted to us by my cousin after her dog had babies. We are first time dog owners so we were excited for Moon to join our family! I decided to name her Moon because she came into our life’s during a difficult time and in a short period of 6 months she’s been the light of our family!

My Moony girl that’s her nickname, she’s helped us cope with the grief of our beloved uncles who passed away March 2020. She’s definitely changed the mood of my mom who was the most impacted by this tragedy. Her and my dad care for her during the time we are at work. We have no kids so my parents call her their granddaughter, we love it! She’s so loved by everyone we can’t get enough of her!

There’s never a dull moment with Moony. I love that after every meal she grabs her toy and starts crying for us to play with her. Her favorite toy is a turtle gifted by my dad; a snowman gifted by my boyfriends mom; and her ball that she loves to play fetch with. She loves to go on walks, go to the park and the beach! She recently reconnected with her mom and sis and she loved every min of it!!

My moony was in a car accident and is in need of surgery to her dislocated hip and broken leg. Some of the treatments recommended by her doctors are a Tibia Diaphyseal Fracture Simple, and Femoral Head and neck Ostectomy plus the anesthesia. She’s currently in VCA Lakewood Animal Hospital being taken care of. The morning doctor in her case is Yang, DVM, Esther and over night Smith, DVM, Ryan.

This incidents was unexpected, and we were not prepared financially. We do not wanna have to give up on our Moon because of the financial needs. She’s part of our family and we will appreciate anything that can help have Moon healthy and back home with us!❤️
