About a month ago, I noticed a small red dot on Moose’s paw. His primary vet suspected a bug bite or infection and prescribed a cream. Within a week, it grew rapidly and was biopsied, revealing a mast cell tumor. He had surgery at Wheat Ridge Hospital, where a lymph node showed metastasis, and the tumor was found to be high-grade and aggressive. Moose will now need chemotherapy and radiation.

Moose is truly the most special boy. I know everyone says that about their pet, but he really is. He’s the goofiest, most loving, and loyal companion a girl could ask for. He’s brought more joy into my life than I ever imagined. Whether it’s a mountain adventure or just snuggling on the couch, Moose is always by my side, making every moment better.
