Moose is an old bully dog who’s endured more than any soul should. Likely used for fighting and discarded when he was no longer “useful,” he came to ACF Animal Rescue painfully thin, weak, and barely hanging on. His body tells the story of years of neglect—his eyes and ears wounded and infected, his frame starved from long-term deprivation. But even after everything, Moose welcomed our team with quiet trust, as if he knew this was finally his chance at safety.

For the first time in his life, Moose is experiencing gentle care. No cages. No cruelty. Just kindness, soft blankets, warm meals, and hands that don’t hurt him. He can’t see, and he still moves slowly, but we can already see the change beginning. His breathing is steadier. His body is healing. His spirit is slowly returning.

Moose is now on a careful treatment plan, receiving medical care for his infections, a nourishing diet, pain management, and the peace and quiet he’s never known. Our team is working tirelessly to give him the comfort he’s gone without for so long. He may be older, but we believe Moose deserves golden years filled with peace, love, and dignity.
