Moose is a 9 Year Old Mix-Breed in Cumming, GA, Who Needs $2,000 for Liver Cancer Diagnostics and Treatment.

Since he was a tiny, flea ridden, 6 week old puppy, Moose has been a constant in my life. What started with my college roommate coming home with a puppy he found on the side of the road, led to a lifelong friendship with a dog that I never expected. He currently lives with his mommies, doggy brother Troy, and his little brother and absolute best friend, Theo. He’s now 9 years old but still spunky!

On Nov 5, we took him to Sugar Hill Animal Hospital because he wasn’t eating & had lost weight. Despite a normal exam, on ultrasound we found that he has multiple lesions on his liver & a stone in his gallbladder. Instantly I was devastated. Through his whole 9 years he’s never had so much as a broken nail. Now we’re seeking specialist opinions & exploring options for biopsy and possible chemo.

Moose has been with me through 5 moves, 2 different states, many road trips, a kitty sibling, and his doggy brother & snuggle partner Troy. He has also been by my side for nearly every large event in my life: college graduation, getting married (even featured in our engagement pics!), buying a home, & building our family. He has remained the happiest, most loving, & most patient boy through it all

Just an exam/consult fee for the hospital is $250, & we’re going to seek a 2nd opinion as well. Surgery & chemo will cost thousands. With a baby, me on FMLA for the past 2 weeks, among car issues & other things, we simply can’t afford to get our sweet baby the help he needs.
