Moose is a miracle dog. He was born into a fighting ring in New York City. He didn't even have a name, he was just called 7. He was held as evidence which gave him enough time to be adopted to a nice woman. Shortly after she had to move and couldn't bring him. She posted an ad online for a foster, I saw it, and agreed. Here we are a decade later and he's still my son's and my best friend.

He is like everyone's loving grandfather. He is always gentle and affectionate. He is patient with my son and has been since my son first met him at 3 months old. My son lost his father about a year ago and I cannot imagine telling him he lost his best friend too. He has been my shoulder to cry on and my partner through my best moments. My son doesn't even know what life is like with out Moose.

My partner lost his job to Covid 19 and we are waiting on his new job to open back up. I have been working but I'm supporting my whole family. We moved literally 2 weeks before the Covid quarentine and were already in way over our heads financially before we found out.

Moose has finally been officially diagnosed with a mass on his spleen. We did all diagnostics and found no other masses! He is a good candidate for surgery! The costs have also been lowered significantly (from $9000 to a projected $4500). The vet caring for him through this is New England Veterinary and Cancer Center in Windsor CT. He is doing very well and is responding well to medications.

He is the most incredible dog in the world. Every owner feels that way about their boy, but other dog owners meet him and actually agree with me. He is quiet and dignified but so affectionate. He is an absolute flirt. He once jumped out a window to chase his favorite girl dog. He is a master treat thief, but still let's everyone get their share in the end. He deserves a PHD in snacks and borks.
