About this campaign
A Pathway to Hope is caring for a sweet boy named Moose, who suffers from spina bifida and now has a broken leg. He needs us now more than ever. 💔Moose struggles to walk and needs his bladder expressed a few times a day. His devoted foster family found him collapsed on the floor in excruciating pain, his leg shattered and dangling. Moose has always thought he was an acrobat—and even in the safety of his specialized cat room, his playful spirit led to this devastating injury.
Now, Moose urgently needs specialized surgery and care costing $9,000 to repair his leg and give him the chance to keep living the happy, love-filled life he so deserves. We can’t let a fixable injury take away everything this brave boy has fought for. This rescue found him as a tiny kitten after his mom was suspected to have been hit by a car. He was smaller and weaker than his siblings. He wobbled when he walked, struggled with incontinence, and vets discovered nerve damage that would likely be lifelong. Most would have given up on him. But not this rescue—and not his incredible foster family, who have lovingly cared for him every single day for over a year. Moose is happy, playful, and is a joy to have around. Every single donation makes a difference for Moose.
Your support will allow him to get the emergency surgery and hospitalization he urgently needs so he can heal and keep living the joyful life he was meant for. Thank you for standing by Moose.
Update 9/23/25
Our little warrior Moose is proving once again just how resilient he is. 💜 Despite his spina bifida, broken leg and recovery, he hasn’t let anything stop him.
He recently got his staples out (yay!), though he’s still rocking his cone a bit longer since the skin on his feet is delicate. He’s definitely still a little uncomfortable, but thanks to your support, lots of love, and plenty of Churu treats 🐱 he’s pushing through.
His loving fosters even got him a flat scratching post to make things easier, and he absolutely loves it! Moose also made a new friend, Koyari–a tripod kitty from Aruba, who truly understands his struggles, and the two are already bonding.
Thank you for sending Moose love and kindness—it’s what has carried him this far. 💕
Update 10/21/2025
Moose is wearing the cone for a bit longer, but he's still on the road to recovery and doing great in his foster home! With your help, he continues to heal and remind us that hope is always stronger than hardship. He will hopefully be up for adoption soon!
