About this campaign

Moose is currently residing with my parents. When I deployed a couple of years ago and returned during the pandemic I quickly realized moose had become attached to his grandparents I could separate him from that and all the love he recieved from the Bocanegra’s as a whole. He was more than just my dog he was our family dog. Moose has been in the family for 10 years we won’t stop fighting for him.

Recently, we received devastating news when Moose was diagnosed with a 10 cm primary lung tumor. . The tumor was officially diagnosed by the oncologist, Dr. Jeff Weinstein, at VCA Capital Area Veterinary Specialists in Austin, TX, on April 3, 2025. While it’s a relief to learn that the cancer has not spread, we know that time is ticking, and immediate surgery is needed to give moose a chance

Moose is very stoic, but the smartest dog I know. He definitely knows how to get a treat out of his honey and papa those are his grandparents and he also knows how to cuddle just right on the couch and remind us he’s also a human that belongs on the couch covered with a blanket.

Unfortunately with the compiling vet bills since October trying to treat moose and no emergency fund I’m finding my self going paycheck to paycheck trying to find out how to get this surgery paid.
