Moose is a 10 year old Mix-Breed in Strongsville , OH, who needs $2,000 for ICU Care and Possible Urethrostomy.

We adopted our Moose from a co-worker of my husband, Phil. He went to pick him out on a business trip in Texas. From the minute he held him, he called him a “Moose” and the name stuck! He was such a cutie, all black at the time. Yet, he has always been an “old soul”. He is also my shadow. Very laid back, roll with flow personality. Everybody who meets him, falls in love with him!!

March of ‘24, Moose was diagnosed as a diabetic. We spent months trying to regulate his blood sugar. Approximately 5 months later, he lost his eyesight due to diabetic cataracts + complications forced the removal of both eyes in Aug ‘24. 1 week ago he had emergency surgery for bladder stones again with a blockage. He is back at MedVet Cleveland with complications and may need another surgery.

Moose is the most loving, loyal pet ever! He has to be near me or other family. He’ll lay on my feet or in my arms. He just melts into you. When he could see, it was like his eyes looked into your soul and told you were the best!! Everyone loves him. Friends, family, Vet techs + doctors. I love all my pets , but Moose + I share a deep emotional connection. His sister would be lost without him too.

Moose’s ongoing medical crisis after crisis in less than a year, has taken its toll. We have spent thousands of dollars already. If he needs another surgery to repair is damaged urethra and save his life, we can’t do it anymore. He has been thru SO much, + deserves a chance
