About this campaign
This is Moose, my shorty Jack Russell Terrier. I found him in central Wisconsin when he was one of the last two pups left, and the moment I saw him, I knew I couldn’t leave without him. He’s four years old now, and he’s not just my dog—he’s my baby and my Emotional Support Animal.Moose lives with me in my home in West Bend, WI, where he enjoys a fenced-in yard that he absolutely loves to run in!
On Tuesday night, I found Moose unusually lethargic and not interested in his favorite things. I thought he might have eaten something that upset his stomach, but later he began walking oddly on the bed. I planned to call the vet in the morning, but when I woke at 7:30 a.m., his back legs were paralyzed. I rushed him to the emergency clinic, where they said his best chance is an $11,500 surgery.
My dog is special to me in ways that are hard to express. He’s the steady presence who brings me comfort when everything feels heavy. He senses my emotions and stays close, reminding me I’m never alone. His love is pure and unwavering. He’s been there through my hardest days and my best ones, holding me together in ways no one else
I would do absolutely anything to get my Moose back to 100%. He needs not only physical support right now, but financial help as well, which is why I’m seeking assistance with his $11,000 surgery bill. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean the world to both of us.
