About this campaign
We rescued the cat from an a animal shelter during the pandemic last year as we realized there are many abandonments going on during this financial crisis. My 17 year old son walked in and immediately fell In love with mootsie. My other 3 children walked over to mootsie and would not leave the rescue without mootsie.
He has the run of the house. Every morning he greets us in the kitchen . He politely meeows to remind us that he is there. He constantly rubs up against our kids. If you are sitting down he will always find your lap. He then takes his nose and rub up against your face promptly cleaning your arm, hand or face whatever is in closest.
This is an unexpected expense as we have 4 kids and 3 cats and Covid wiped out our rainy day fund. He first started at Reid hill in Matawan, NJ this past Saturday. Our vet hydrated him , x-ray and noticed he had a high fever . Mootsie threw up multiple times on Friday. Monday he started throwing up even more. Which prompted bloodwork and another x-ray. Now we took him to garden state hospital they did an ultrasound and he required emergency surgery for an impacted bowel.
He constantly cleans my children with his tongue. He watches over my kids as they sleep. He loves to play catch like a dog with my daughters hair ties. When he’s ready to play he finds them in the house and fetches them for you to play with him. After he’s done playing Mootsie licks your hand and face to say thank you.
