Morty is a 9 year old Chihuahua in Hamburg, NY, who needs $1,600 for Tooth Cleaning, Extraction, Antibiotics.

I got Morty from my roommates parents in October of 2015. He was not a rescue in the traditional sense but if I did not take him, he would have been living in a house with 11 other chihuahuas and 26 cats (yes, twenty six cats). The people who owned his mom did not even want him because his litter was an accident. That environment was not healthy!!

Until recently. everything was fine. He had his flea/tick and heartworm meds, all of the vaccinations, both required and optional and it was going smoothly. I was then laid off from work. About this time, Morty's teeth started falling out. He now has severe periodontal disease and needs his teeth cleaned and I cannot afford it. His vet is Dr. Amy Mount of Cuba Veterinary Hospital (Cuba, NY).

Morty LOVES barking at animals on TV, especially horses! He also likes barking at trains and big white box trucks (idk why just the white ones lol) He is afraid of fireworks and thunder. He loves cheese, bologna, and especially Spam! Anything soft so it doesn't hurt his teeth. I feel extremely guilty that his teeth are falling out and I cannot get them cleaned or pulled.

I was laid off from work under very sketchy circumstances. I will gladly explain if requested. Having Mo mo's teeth fixed would mean the world to me because he seems like he is in pain and seems very sad and it makes me depressed.
