About this campaign
I adopted, Mousse, 11/2021 from the Regional Animal Services of King County. He was the shyest cat in the shelter because he was a stray or abused; he was extremely fearful of humans. Over time, he learned to love getting brushed and chicken treats. He loves to hang out on the bed with me and his cat sister and dog sister. I’m so glad I was able to show him how loving humans can be.
He is the sweetest cat I have ever met. All he wants is for you to feed him treats and brush out his fur. He loves to be pampered and will just be there for you whenever you need. He has never once acted aggressive or done something naughty. He just appreciates being there right next to you. He is also so silly and loves tossing his toys into the air and playing catch.
When he plays with his toys, he prefers to play by himself. He tosses his toys in the air and jumps up to get them. Unlike my other cat, he loves hopping around like a bunny. He has these big paws so he is not quiet like a normal cat. He thumps all around the apartment and it is so funny because you can always hear him coming.
Recently his left arm swelled up and he started limping. Over time, his other joints started swelling as well. From there, he became extremely lethargic and refused to get up. We visited Aerowood Animal Hospital with Dr. Ellsberry to run some tests, but we could not figure out why he was so sick. We then visited Seattle Vet Specialists with Dr. Davis and he is now hospitalized there.
My parents got divorced and I was forced to support myself as a new grad in Seattle. I then got laid off from my full time job and was unemployed for 2+ months. I will do anything to make sure Mousse gets the care he needs because he deserves to live a happy/healthy life.
