Mowgli is a 4.5 year old black lab rescue dog. I’ve had him since he was 6 weeks old. He was part of a 5 puppy litter of abandon dogs and was put in a animal shelter in Miami. He was listed as part pit bulls which made it more difficult to adopt as you could not even look at the litter if you could couldn’t show proof of a non Miami dade address. I was lucky to live in a neighboring county.

Mowgli is the sweetest dog ever. Not a bad bone in his body. Warms up to everyone immediately and wants to show love to everyone. Before Mowgli’s injuries, he loved swimming, long walks, car rides, and most of all, just being around friends and family. He’s even developed a close relationship with neighbors who love him so much they ask to come by several times a week to see him.

This recent Covid-19 Pandemic has his my area of residence, South Florida, Particularly hard, as well as my industry of occupation. This situation has come at the least possible convenient time for Mowglis recent health crisis. Seeing him healthy again would mean the world.

Mowgli has had a very minor limp for the last year or so. Several vets deemed it nothing to be too concerned with. However, what may have been minor acl damage has turned into two full acl injuries. He is now in a great deal of pain, can barely walk, and is in need of surgery as soon as possible. He has been evaluated and given a full prognosis and estimation by Broward Veterinary Specialists.

I think what makes Mowgli so special is his heart. He’s truly connected with human feelings. Anytime myself or any of my family members were going through tough time, Mowgli would clearing try to make you feel better. For instance if you’re crying, or visible frustrated, he darts to you face and lathers you with endless kisses until you can’t help but smile.
