Moxie is a 5-year-old American shorthair in Springfield , MA, who needs $1,900 for Diagnosis and Treatment.

Moxie came into our lives unexpectedly when we bought her from an animal page on Facebook! We found her and we instantly got attached! Moxie loves to climb in front of the tv and watch shows with us! She sleeps curled up right next to us, her favorite food is shrimp wet food; when you give it to her she purs so loud and she is the happiest kitty ever 🐱!

Before moxie was with us she was a westly woman’s cat who she was very attached to; unfortunately the woman passed away, so moxie became very sad, when we got her it gave her a chance for new happiness. Coming into our home she was of course scared, but she slowly branched out and now she rubs against everyone and purs. She has her own personality in the home especially around the other kitties!

Moxie loves to bird watch all day and when she does her ears perk up! She rolls around on the ground and bunny kicks when she’s happy. She enjoys cuddles and surprising belly rubs! After a long nap she take a BIG stretch and smiles! Her favorite friend is tabby; with tabby she likes to get the zoomies in the middle of the night and takes care of her like a mom!

Recently, moxie has been experiencing skin irritation that has lead to her itching herself so hard where she bleeds profusely. We have tried cat wound spray, pet bandages, and even a cone to help her heal, but when we take off the cone she starts itching all over again. She’s seemed depressed and has low energy. She isn’t the fat that we had only 3 weeks.

We both work pay check to paycheck where we don’t make much money. We’ve applied to care credit and scratch pay with both needed up denying us. We don’t have too many family members who are able to help. We are trying our best to gather anything for her healing.
