In August 2021, I lost my best friend unexpectedly. She had five dogs at the time and in her well asked if I could care for them. I was both honored and overwhelmed with losing my best friend unexpectedly and wondering how I would care for them as I am on a fixed income since 2009.

Right before Christmas Muffin started experiencing very bad diarrhea. I tried it all the home remedies bought probiotics from the vet and put her on a special diet, but she was not improving. On Jan. 3, 2025 I brought both her and her brother Harley to the Westshore Veterinary Hospital they did bloodwork on both of them and unfortunately and shockingly they were diagnosed with PLE.

Muffin is my wild child. She’s under 10 lbs and has the mind of a German Shepherd. She’s always barking at dogs, squirrels, rabbits, and even people. She loves life and the park.
