Muggs is a 10-year-old American Bulldog/Boxer in Mount Airy, MD, who needs $289 for Torn ACL and Allergies.

Muggs is one of a kind. He was found on railroad tracks in a bad neighborhood during an ice storm and instantly bonded with us. We could tell he had been abused and no well taken care of so since that day he has been spoiled rotten! He goes everywhere with us, he sleeps with us, he follows me around the house. He is a cuddler and loves to take over the couch! Couldn't ask for a better dog.

Muggs is amazing around people and kids. He will let you do just about anything to him. We call him our gentle giant because people get intimidated by his size but he truly is a lover not a fighter. I feel like he takes to me more because I am home with him alot, follows me around the house. He lets you know when he wants the couch by nudging you off. He doesn't like pillows either!

When he wants to go outside he will stand at the door and give you a side eye look and then bark and if you don't respond quickly enough he will find a shoe, sock, pillow, even his dog bed and drag it to the bedroom to make you pay attention. If he just wants to play or love he will nudge his nose under your hand or arm until you acknowledge him. He is quite the character!

When we first got Muggs we found out he had heartworms and lyme disease. So we had to raise funds ($3000) to treat him. He then got Boxers Eye and another grand for that and during all of this we discovered his spleen was enlarged. Now it is even bigger and his liver with a mass on it. He is really having issues with his ACL right now causing some pain and discomfort. He also has allergies.

My husband and I lost our jobs in August but he has been fortunate enough to find a new job but making less money. I however, am still unemployed fighting unemployment since October so no income to support the household. Cant afford Muggs meds now and he desperately needs.
