In July 2020, a landscaping worker brought in a kitten who was found screaming in a mulch pile into my work. Upon seeing the kitten, I knew I had to foster him. My coworker gave him the name of Mulchy. I still remember how exhausted his tiny body was the day I met him. I fostered him for the next couple months and watched him grow. In October 2020, I officially welcomed Mulchy into the family.

In October of this year, I noticed something going on with his back legs and he seemed like he was in pain. I took him to a veterinarian where he was diagnosed with stage 3 luxating patella in both of his back knees. I saw a few vets for different opinions on it and all agreed his only option to get better is surgery on both knees.

Mulchy loves to burrow under blankets and find himself little caves, he loves to lay in a good sun spot, he cleans his toes in the goofiest way, his favorite toy is a macaroni shaped toy that he brings to my door and then drops when he sees me. He has always been full of personality since he was a tiny kitten.

I was unemployed for a good amount of 2023 into this year. In this year, I have unfortunately accumulated monthly expenses that restricts how much money I can save up. I do not have means to acquire the cost of the surgeries quickly.
