Muncy is an 11-month-old Pit Bull/Boxer mix in Long Beach, CA, who needs $2,000 for diagnostics and surgery for a blockage.

We got our baby boy Muncy from a family friend in August of 2021. He’s 11 months old and he loves his family so much as we love him too. He’s a boxer and pitbull mix. He’s the most loving dog I have ever had. My boyfriend got this puppy for our baby girl Ava who’s 2 1/2 years old. The bond these two have is amazing.

Muncy and our baby girl Ava have their own language and he’s the most loving and gentle dog. Muncy sleeps in his cage at night and is house trained. He loves to play fetch and with stuffed animals. He loves his treats and bones. Our dog fits into our everyday life and brings so much joy to our family

We are on a fixed income and we are a 2 parent household and limited on finances. We would do anything for our dog if we had the finances. Since Muncy has been ill we haven’t seen much of the Muncy that we really know, the happy puppy. I wish I could trade spots with him.

Our veterinarian that we took him to is called AM PM Ideal Pet Care in Norwalk CA and they have been so helpful. But with limited amount of money we couldn’t do the rest of the tests needed and the surgery for a partial or full blockage that’s causing Muncy not to eat or drink and he’s getting dehydrated. We were sent home with comfort care only.

Muncys favorite person is Ava our 2 year old daughter. He’s always by her side or under her. He loves to jump on the couch and lay next to us and get his belly rubbed. He’s the life of the party in our house. He doesn’t like when we have to leave him at home when we have errands to run. He has a face a mother loves and is so gentle.
