About this campaign

Murphy was brought into my clinic for having abdominal pain and we found out that she had a metallic foreign body in her stomach after taking X-rays. She needed emergency surgery. The owners refused to do the surgery and wanted to euthanize her and “get a new puppy.” We convinced them to relinquish to our hospital to have surgery.

At amigo animal clinic, when Murphy presented with her abdominal pain and lethargy, we did X-rays and found metallic foreign material. The doctor was concerned that she ate a penny - which can cause anemia. After relinquishment, we did some bloodwork and found out that, yes, she was very anemic and required emergency surgery.
During surgery, the doctor did in fact find a penny!

Murphy is just a puppy and deserves to live a long happy life. At 13 weeks old, she already has such a cute, chill personality. She loves kids, she loves other dogs. She’s just a happy baby that wanted to live and be loved!

As we take on this sweet little girl, emergency surgery is not an easy financial feat. Coming up with the money right away is harder than you would think to get the care that this baby needs.
