About this campaign

I got Murphy from my parents in 2019. I have two other dogs at home. Murphy is an inside dog. I have a fenced in yard. I chose the name Murphy because it’s what spoke to me when I saw him. I fell in love with him immediately. He started training to become my service animal but we had to take a break due to financial reasons. After surgery and recovery his training will resume.

Murphy sleeps with me. He likes to go everywhere with me, especially to Lowes. I taught him to use buttons with my recorded voice to tell me when he wants treats or to go potty. He loves to put his paw on me when he wants attention or a bite of my food. He makes me laugh all the time. He’s my best friend and I spend more time with him than anyone else.

Murphy’s favorite people besides me are my parents. He gets so excited when I mention their names and he tilts his head side to side. He loves to wear his raincoat when it’s raining. Which is so funny to see. I’ve taught him to sit, speak, count, lay down, and stay. Murphy helps reduce my anxiety greatly. Everything he does makes me smile.

Murphy got out of the yard by crawling under a neighbor’s privacy fence which I repaired. He was hit by a car and his pelvis was fractured. I’m grateful he is alive and truly believe it’s a miracle that he is. God knows how much I need Murphy. Dr. McClimon at Taylor Vet saw Murphy. Dr. Ballow is the mobile orthopedic surgeon who recommended FHO surgery because putting in a plate isn’t an option.

I’m on a fixed income and inflation has wreaked havoc on my financial situation. This is an unexpected sudden major expense for which I’m not prepared. Any financial assistance would be so helpful and greatly appreciated
