Nahua is a 2-year-old Shichon in Eden Prairie, MN, who needs $2,000 for Patellar Luxation Repair.

Nahua came into my life almost 3 years ago, she'll be 3 years old in February 2024. A few weeks ago we got a scare because she struggled to get up and we saw her limping as she walked. We took her into urgent care at Mission Animal Hospital, they tested her and told us she needed surgery for a luxating patella on her left back leg, grade 3 (out of 4), and gave us medications for her pain.

Nahua likes to sleep in her puffy doggy bed right next to my bed. She loves to play fetch with her squeaky toys and enjoys her bully stick and cheese.

Nahua is a sweetheart once you get to know her. At first meet, she might shiver, bark, or get the zoomies but later as she gets to know you, she'll be sitting on your lap with a pillow and her bully stick. Her playful behavior and the love she has for those around her warms my heart. She brings joy and love to my family and me.

Nahua has been diagnosed with a Laxating Patella on her left back leg that has affected her walking, running, and jumping. Her primary vet at Mission Animal Hospital referred her to have surgery with a 3rd party because of the specialty of the surgery needed to cure her.

Nahua does not qualify for pet insurance for this pre-existing condition. I am on a fixed income and it would mean so much to me for Nahua to be able to have surgery to have her luxating patella repaired and to live a happy life. 💪
