About this campaign
Many years ago, I was a volunteer for the Humane Society of Stanislaus County. I also had just adopted a cat named Midnight. He had gone missing and I put an ad in the paper. I received a phone call from a stranger asking if I wanted to adopt two tuxedo kittens. I asked him to try and find a home for them and if he couldn’t, I would take them in and foster them. The rest is history.
Nala is momma's little girl. She always follows me around the house and loves to warm my lap at night. When I sleep, she is always by my side cuddled up inside the nook of my arm. She loves to knead on my belly and I let her do it despite the scratches that are left on my belly.
She has a naughty side. She is a bird watcher and loves to hunt them and kill them. Although, she has been behaving lately. She has a distinctive meow when she wants her treats and loves to look at you with those begging eyes until I give in and she gets what she wants.
Unfortunately, it is with a heavy heart that I found out this very aggressive type of tumor was found in her left hind leg again where she received treatment. I couldn’t be more devastated and I have been told it is growing fast. She will be having her CT scan soon and it is my hope the cancer hasn’t spread. The next logical step would be amputation at Empire Vetinerary Clinic.
I am on disability and so far I have spent over $15,000 on her care. I just want her to have the fulfilling and long life she deserves. She is my other half and without her, I don't know how I would battle the depression I have. I would appreciate any donation I receive.
