Nala is a 15 year old American Shorthair in Mount Vernon , NY, who needs $5,400 for Kidney Failure.

Our loving girl celebrated her 15th birthday April, 2026. We've had her since 2011 when she was 6 months old. She has had a wonderful life growing alongside her brother Chester. She's been well cared for and loved beyond measure.

We noticed some weight loss and lack of appetite recently. On May 17, 2026, we took her to VEG ER for Pets in White Plains, NY. After bloodwork was analyzed, we were told she has kidney failure and needed to be hospitalized to stabilize some elevated levels of BUN, Phosphorous , WBC and Neutrophils. We had her admitted and she is currently receiving care and we wait to hear some improvement.

Nala is the most loving and sweetest cat I've ever known. She is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. She has been part of our family since 2011. We are hoping she can continue to thrive and have a few more years of loving life.

Unfortunately, the vet bills have stacked up already. Her initial exam and bloodwork was $1290.83. Her overnight stay for hospitalization, diagnostics, medicates, fluids, etc. are an additional $4023.45. This has come as huge cost that has impacted our finances a great deal.
