Nala is a 5 month old Belgian Shepherd Dog (Malinois) in San Diego, CA, who needs $1,715 for Femoral Fracture X-rays.

My dog Nala lives with my husband our daughter and myself. She got her name from Nala the Lion in Lion King. Nala has a brother named Skar which is what lead us to call her Nala to have a Disney pair.

We are seeking help for Nalas emergency visit to the VCA ER where she was sedated for X-rays and diagnosed with a comminuted distal femoral fracture. She was given pain medication but was sent home due to finding a low cost clinic to perform her surgery.

My puppy, Nala, is special because she is so silly. She is a cuddle bug with someone after just meeting two minutes earlier. Once your hand lifts off her body she gives you THAT look to continue her belly rubs. She also is a scared baby, she gets scared at parked scooters and her own reflection.

It means the world to have Nala in recovery because she is only a 5 month puppy who shouldn’t be worrying or hiding her pain to do everyday activities. Nala is a Belgian Malinois so it is important to me she is in full health to be able to be energetic wild maligator self.
