Nani is a 5-year-old American Pitbull Terrier in Grand Rapids , MI, who needs $1,900 for Blood Glucose Screening.

My family met Nani after her mother passed away during birth. We had to bottle feed her and due to this she still has no idea that she is a dog (shhh… please do not tell her as she is going through enough right now). She has had a few scares like when she ran into a neighbors driveway as a pup and got hit but after a lengthy hospital stay she came home as healthy as ever.

Allergic reaction to her flea medication and another ER visit. Now she has a ghost pregnancy that last way too long and had to have an emergency historectomy that removed 35lbs of infection. Point is she survived all this and now she has diabetes and required another stay. She’s a fighter! Strongest lady I know! She will make it through this too!

Nani loves to hold hands. She is the smartest and well behaved dog and just loves her family and we love her! My kids and I can not fathom losing her! She is a part of our family not just a pet. We don’t give up on our family! Especially not due to a financial problem. Any help would be forever appreciated!

She has diabetes and will be on insulin. She had pancreatitis on arrival but is much better. She is now awaiting pickup and is much healthier than she was when we brought her in. She still has plenty of life left She’s only five years old!
