Napoleon is a 1-year-old chihuahua in Palmdale, CA, who needs $2,000 for amputation surgery.

Napoleon came into our lives almost 8 months ago after a friend of ours gave it to us as a gift and she herself having financial difficulties to afford keeping him in her house. We decided to call him Napoleon because we thought it would be funny given the fact that he was so little in size but gigantic in heart. He definitely conquered all of hearts when he became part of our family.

Napoleon is the house protector, he is the little dog to be worried about when you see the "beware of dog" sign. He's never afraid to show his protective side and ferocious determination when it feels that the house needs to be protected, but at the end of the day his just a little tiny pup that brings love and cuteness to every single corner of our home.

Napoleon is just a member of the family that knows how to make everybody smile starting with my youngest son. Right after he starts watching TV, Napoleon sits on his lap and starts rolling around to get my son's attention and demands some love. After that, he is just the cutest thing you could imagine. He just pretends to be upset if you deny him of some petting and cuddling.

He is in the hospital waiting for a surgery to amputate his left back leg due to an accident in which a car ran over his legs. One of them got minor injuries but the other one is completely destroyed. Given the fact of his size, surgery is very complicated and at this point reconstruction of it is both very difficult to achieve and also way more expensive than amputation. We just want him to be ok.

Between the pandemic, reduced work hours, high living costs, inflation and financial hardship, it is nearly impossible nowadays to keep, or let alone create an emergency fund. This was definitely an unexpected expense that changed out lives in a minute but we have faith in God it'll be ok.
