Neeze is a 2-year-old Domestic Longhair cat in Baltimore, MD, who needs $313 for emergency medical treatment.

Catching Neeze was quite a coup for Julia V.
For two years, the formerly feral cat visited the feeding station she set up, evading her attempts at capturing him.
Julia finally caught Neeze and discovered the striking black cat with big gold-colored eyes is in really rough shape and needs medical care as soon as possible.

"Neeze currently is at half his needed body weight," Julia tells Waggle. "He has always let me sit with him and pet him but has never had an interest in much more than that. Currently, he is being very affectionate to me as I care for him and is quite the love bug." Neeze has enlarged kidneys, bad teeth, a severely matted coat, the feline immunodeficiency virus, which is causing severe anemia.

Julia says Neeze has a lot of distinguishing features. "He is a polydactyl (extra toes) and has huge bean toes that are adorable. His jaunty missing ear makes him look very distinguished and he has a wide-eyed look of awe at the many modern conveniences of living indoors."

After Neeze receives care his days of living on the street will be over. "He has always been a friendly fellow, so after treatment, he will be staying inside a loving home," Julia adds. "Neeze is a very independent old man who likes to socialize and then take his leave. He will sit with me and love on me and then excuse himself for some quiet time alone."

Dr. Kim Williams-VanDuzer from Prettyboy Veterinary Hospital started Neeze's treatment, but Julia says he needs a lot more care. Right now, Julia is unemployed because of COVID and is asking for help paying for Neeze's medical bills. "He is living in my bathroom while he gets the treatment he needs," she says.
