About this campaign
I adopted Negan from my local shelter. He was named Levi at that time. They found him at the fire station. He was so good with my girls immediately. My oldest daughter decided that he was perfect and we had to take him home. He lives with me, my two girls, another dog, and a couple of kitties. He is super spoiled with us and just loves attention.
Negan grew up for the first 7 months of his life with no love or companionship. He didn’t know what hard floors or a tv were when I brought him home. I quickly became his person and he became my baby. He loves my cats and other dog and is the most well behaved and sweetest boy ever! He was sent for me. He is my blessing. My girls love him and he loves them as well, but I’m his mom.
I was laid off a few months ago and just started working again last week. I have paid every penny I could, but I still owe Jacksonville Animal Hospital $260 for the eye removal and I need a little help. Its hard for me to ask for help.
He first presented with what looked like a cut pad... then a cloudy eye a week later (which was glaucoma caused by the disease). Now, a month later, he was diagnosed with a rare fungal disease (Blastomycosis). It attacked the body from the inside out. I just gave the first treatment. I know his likelihood of survival is low, but I have to try (until his quality of life diminishes).
Every single time he sees or hears me, he wags his whole butt and that tail is so loud! If I’m upset, he makes sure he is in my face until I’m ok. He is so gentle with my kids and other pets. I was afraid that housebreaking would be difficult since he was so much older, but I learned that he is definitely a people pleaser. He just makes my whole attitude change the second I walk through the door.
