About this campaign
Neko has been my boi since he was 9 weeks old. A friend found him among a litter outside while living in Wisconsin and I took him in. He's been my baby boy his whole life and nearly a third of mine. He came to me with his name already, meaning "cat" in Japanese. We currently live in Portland, OR and he's got an 18 y/o "sister" Bebe.
Neko was in & out of the emergency clinic for deobstipation since March, after struggling to use the litter box & stopped eating, drinking, and playing. He was diagnosed w/megacolon, which is exactly what it sounds like. His colon is so large &distended that he cannot excrete waste without medical assistance. He's been on medication since then and will be for life, &colon surgery may be necessary.
Neko gained the name Stinko from his shenanigans like 3am zoomies and pulling push pins out of the wall. Since this diagnosis, it's only more apt. He loves to annoy Bebe and sleep at my feet. He follows me constantly and talks at me when he's inquisitive. He's my little mama's boy, digging in bags and sitting in boxes he definitely doesn't fit in. He's my shadow, I love him to my core.
I was out of a job the first 3 months of this year, went through a divorce, &work only part-time as I just graduated college, and am now on the job hunt. I am barely staying afloat, and his medical bills won't stop any time soon. Knowing I can provide for Neko is everything.
