Nemo is a 13-year-old Golden Retriever/Pit Mix in Fort Wayne , IN, who needs $525 for Nemo's Tumors Removal Surgery.

Nemo was born in October 2008. He was the cutest and only black pup in the litter. His mother accidentally chewed some of his ear off when cleaning the sac off him. Hence why his name is Nemo. We got him from a friend that lived next door to us. We were there when he was born 13years ago. My husband used to bring him home every morning and put him under the covers next to me. Been with us since.

He loves our kids, but now extends his love to the grandkids. Nemo enjoys playing with the other 2 dogs in the home. He enjoys eating human food especially when the babies are eating, cause he gets what is dropped. He has become a permanent loving family member over the years. We love growing old with him.

He enjoys sleeping under the covers next to me. He loves water. Whether it's the water hose, pool, lake or even a watering trough he is going in for a dip. He used to love hanging and swinging from on rope in the tree, but too old now. He enjoys running and jumping in the snow since we moved up north 3 years ago. He hates thunder. He does enjoy talking to you while you play with him.

This past January, I noticed a growth on his tit and that his one testicle was enlarged. So, I took him to the vet. He stated that they both need to be removed and sent off for testing to see if they are cancerous. His surgery will cost us a good amout of money. We are able to pay half, but need help paying the other half.

This is an unexpected expense for us and we don't have an emergency fund. Which we definitely are gonna start. We just really want to get this done, so we can still have him with us for another couple more years.
