Nessa Lou is a 7 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in Jeffersonville , IN, who needs $8,000 for Torn Cruciate Ligament in Her R Stifle.

Nessa was actually a gift from my deceased significant other. He found her in a dire situation where she would either go to the shelter or be mistreated and so he brought her home to me because he knew I would love her. She has been my Bestie for the last 7 1/2 years. she definitely keeps the house lively.

About three weeks ago, she started limping after playing in the yard with her little companion, our other pet, Nala. They were running and playing and then all of a sudden Nessa started to limp. A few days later, I took her to Eastside animal Hospital and it was determined she had suffered a severed ACL.

Since the injury, her little light inside has dimmed quite a bit because she’s not able to run and play and jump like she’s used to. It is really sad to watch. She is such a spirited baby and it breaks my heart to see her this way.

Because I do not make a lot of money, this emergency situation is one that I cannot handle. It kills me to watch her suffer because I don’t have the money for her surgery. Her life has been altered due to a lack of resources. This is why she so badly needs the help.
