About this campaign

I rescued Nia 8 years ago, but she really rescued me. Nia came into my life at a tough time in life, right after I was told that I would not ever be able to have kids. She has been that bright light in such a dark space of my life for a very long time. Nia means purpose, and she has so much purpose in my life as well as so many others.

Nia is the life of my household. My parents currently live with us, and she keeps them on their toes, keeps them young. She is so sensitive; I have several medical issues and she picks up on whenever I am not feeling well and remains by my side. She is full of energy, loves to play with her babies.

Nia likes to play chase. She enjoys herding people along. She has long conversations with my mom and tells my dad what she wants and when she wants it. Nia is so smart; she knows everything you say and will respond or react appropriately. She is on the same eating schedule as my father and never misses a beat. She loves belly rubs and quiet time cuddling.

Nia has gone through stem cell treatment for severe back issues. Nia has had 2 TPLO surgeries that she came out of very well. Now Nia is suffering from elevated liver enzymes, high levels of calcium in her urine and liver concerns. She needs to have some ultrasounds, ionized calcium check, a rectal exam, and more blood work. She is being seen at Alamanda VCA Animal Hospital requires full payment.

Normally, I am able to provide all Nia’s needs. But because of movers scamming me for 20K when moving back to Colorado for my parent’s healthcare needs, I have been in a financial bind.
