Nia is a 13 year old Maine Coon in Southampton, MA, who needs $2,000 for Total Left Ear Ablation.

Our Nia Mia came to us from the no-kill cat shelter in Westfield, MA. She was pretty scared at first but after a few days she settled in and has been such a good kitty. She is such a love bug.

Nia has a chronic ear problem (nodules from ear infections) and needs to have a total ear ablation. We have been doing monthly treatments for the past 3 1/2 years but now are no longer working. She is also getting abscesses below the ear and they are very painful . I feel so bad for her I want to cry. Her ear vet is Riverbend Animal Hospital.

I think our Nia was very happy to get out of the shelter. I think her prior life was not good, I don't think she was very well cared for. She is such a good girl. She loves getting her Churu and her kitty chocolate every night. She also loves to go camping with her brother Cody (our 13 yr old Australian Shepherd) he's very jealous but they do love each other. We all sleep in the same bed!

I am retired trying to make it on by social security income. My husband is still working full time but has a lot of medical issues himself and our wonderful medical insurance is the pits, every time we turn around they don't want to pay for procedures that are necessary.
