Nick is an absolutely amazing family member. Lights up a room and fills your heart. He has always been relatively healthy until lately. I noticed his increased thirst sudden weight loss and constant hunger. Not to mention now his complete blindness. I took him to the vet today and was told his blood sugar is 482 and he is in diabetic ketoacidosis. My heart sank as I'm currently unemployed.

Nick is a cuddle bug and has been since day one! He sleeps with us every single night and even whines if he is left out of the room. Nick is our baby and our hearts are just breaking. Nick really needs help that I just can not afford on my own. I have three children and am currently unemployed. My youngest son has special needs. Nick has always been my comfort through all the hard times.

He is currently a patient at Dundalk Animal Hospital. He has been diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis . If he isn't treated soon he will not survive. His blood sugar today without food was at 482. Please my poor baby needs help and fast. The animal hospital is located in Dundalk, Md. They treat him well but there is nothing that can be done if I can't find help.

Besides being the most handsome living baby in the world he loves to just be on us. He tries to talk to us when we say his name. He's amazing! We just really need all the help we can get to save his life. I believe after the first initial hospital visit and treatment to get his dosage right I will be able to afford the cost of insulin and further vet visits.
