Nikka is a 2-year-old Poodle in Murphy, TX, who needs $1,000 for Skin Care, Spay, Dental and Other Possible Treatments.

Nikka was abandoned by people who were supposed to love and protect her the most. She had obviously been either dumped or abandoned left to fend for herself on the streets of Houston for a long time.

CAMO Rescue took Nikka in knowing she would require a lot of physical and emotional care. They gave her numerous medicated baths to get rid of the fleas, dirt, and blood that caked her body, but she was so matted that it was hard to shave her.

Despite her horrible past and terrible condition, Nikka started to trust her foster family and their current dogs. Nikka has clearly faced pain and discomfort, she had nothing but love to give. She enjoys meeting new people and making friends, especially those who give her belly rubs.

Nikka has a difficult road ahead. Her skin will require lots of care and time to reduce the inflammation and infection and heal. She is receiving small meals several times a day to help her slowly gain weight. Once she has gained at least 10lbs, she will be spayed and have a full dental.
