Niko rescued me on 3/11/23, I’ve had him since he was 10 weeks old and he’s my rock, my emotional support, and my everything. We have been through job changes, out of state moves, and many milestones together. Niko has been by my side through the high and the lows. He’s the only family I have nearby. He lives at home with me and goes almost everywhere with me, including work sometimes.

Niko has always had a sensitive stomach, but recently it has been escalated to IBD and pancreatitis possibly due to a partial blockage. He hasn’t eaten and hasn’t been drinking enough. He has had IV fluids, anti nausea medication, butorphanol and Entyce which hasn’t been working. His x rays came back showing a dilated small intestine which will need further treatment.

Niko is a big dog in a small package that gets along with everyone (people and animals) and isn’t afraid of the big dogs. He is the social butterfly of the dog park and loves to talk, sniff and give kisses. He is very protective of me and even likes to be around me when he’s very sick. When he’s himself he is very playful and affectionate with everyone he meets and wish wants to say hi.

Due to unforeseen changes at work, my pay schedule, and lack of emergency fund due to a move. I’m unable to handle the unexpected costs of further treatment in a timely manner. It’s been heartbreaking and stressful and I need to put Niko first.
