About this campaign
Nile was rescued five years ago, a family had adopted him and then changed their mind so we rescued him and welcomed him to our family. Nile is our second pet, we have a cat and Nile and Harry get along really well. Since we adopted him our life has changed, we are first time dog owners It was a challenge having a husky as a first dog but we were so lucky to have such a caring and loving dog.
Nile became a part of our family, we have six kids and all of them adore Nile and consider him family too. Nile has his own bed in the living room, he is well taken care of, we used to take him on walks daily but because of his injury he has not been able to walk for the past two months. He likes to chase butterflies in our backyard and adore Hikes
I lost my job this year and I’m the only income provider in the family, unfortunately with no pet insurance at this time is not an option for us, it breaks our heart to see our beloved Nile suffering and not being able to do anything about it. Two months ago,, Nile started limping from his right hip. He was diagnosed with something called right cranial cruciate ligament. He requires surgery to go back to his normal duties. Nile can not walk around the house anymore unfortunately because of his injury. Seeing him miserable all day and unable to walk straight in limping constantly has been one of the hardest things we had to endure.
As if six kids is not enough to argue with, Nile likes to argue and talks back to us all the time. If it’s raining here in Oregon and we cannot take him on a walk he does not take no for an answer and keeps on talking until we give up and walk him under the rain, we call him our seventh child. There is no dull moment good Nile, he is always jumping around and making everybody happy.
