About this campaign

Dear compassionate readers

I am writing to you today with a heavy heart and an urgent request. My beloved cat Nimbus has recently been diagnosed with an urethral stricture, a condition that has sent him to the emergency room twice in the past few weeks. If he does not receive immediate surgery, his life could be at stake.

Nimbus is not just a cat, he is a cherished member of our family. He brings joy and comfort to my two teenagers and my toddler, who adore him. He is playful, sweet, and always up for a good cuddle. He was a rescue at 12 weeks old and feels like we've known him forever.

We could tell Nimbus was sick when he wasn't complaining or demanding our attention. He has learned to open many doors and yell when he doesn't get his way. Most of the time that leads to cuddles and treats. Not a night went by when wasn't sleeping in my our my kids bed.

Nimbus has an smaller than normal urethral. And although he thinks water frequently and is on a special diet he has been hospitalized for an obstruction 2x in 3 months. It leads to blood in the urine, constipation and almost a bladder tear.

My last child was born Amistad 2020 that is the same year my relationship ended. We moved to be closer to family and find better housing. We never expected to find a loving cat like Nimbus as well. I've been doordashing when I can while my son is still young.
