I wanted another pet. I was thinking of adopting a kitty. I knew I wanted a rescue. I also had a strong desire to adopt a black cat because there is a negative stigma attached to them. I began browsing the petfinder website. The moment I saw Noche's face, I immediately became enamored. I found out he had a twin brother. I adopted them both. He & Baudelaire have been with me for 7.5 months.

Noche can be a mischievous little kitten. He will climb inside of the refrigerator. I once caught him in my cabinet, laying on top of my loaf of bread. He's very vocal and it is not uncommon for him to sass me when I tell him something that he doesn't agree with. My Noche is also very sweet. He is definitely the cuddle bug. He'll jump up on the sofa and lay next to me or nap in my lap.

Everyone who meets Noche falls in love with him. He gets extra attention and treats at the vet. He is a happy boy. Even when he was injured, even while in pain, he still purrs and wants to cuddle. I love the sweet things he does to show me that he trusts me and he loves me back, like giving me kisses or letting me rub his belly. He likes to nibble my fingers or nip at my ankles for attention.

Noche went missing about 5.5 weeks ago & was discovered 1.5 miles away from home with injuries to his spine, hips and his pelvis. He also suffered a severe injury to his tail. His fractures have healed. The tail injury is not healing on its own. To prevent further injury or the potential of a life threatening infection, Noche is going to need surgery, specifically, a Caudectomy.

I do work. However, the majority of my work is commission based. It can be a struggle month to month just to make sure our basic needs are met. An unexpected $4000 in vet bills on top of that is having a major impact on our budget. I just want Noche to be happy & healthy.
