Noorie is a 7 year old Mix-Breed in brampton, ON, who needs $2,000 for Spinal Surgery (for Herniated Disc).

Noorie is a rescue and I adopted her from a dog shelter when she was 3 years. She is a very nervous dog and is now attached to me so much so that she will not be with anyone else. Its been 4 years now and she has really come out of her shell and is more comfortable meeting new people.

Noorie loves exploring the trails and was enjoying herself when she injured herself and is completely paralyzed in her hind legs and unable to walk. Unfortunately, this happened on Christmas morning so not a good start to the holidays. Her X-ray shows no broken bones which means it is a spinal injury. We already spent $2,240 to get a CT scan done which was expensive but showed she had a herniated

Noorie is a rescue from Kentucky and when we came here I was told not to take her our in cold weather as she is not use to it. I laugh when I think of that now coz she loves the winter season especially snow here in Toronto. The colder the temperature (along with snow) the more she wants to stay out. Problem is I love my summers so its always a challenge to get her back in.

This is a sudden major expense and i kick myself now for not buying pet insurance. I will definitely keep aside emergency fund for her in the future as this pre-existing illness will not be covered but I really hope to have her up and running soon.
