Nora is a 1 year old American Shorthair in Ellensburg, WA, who needs $2,000 for Exploratory Laparotomy.

I got Nora in December of 2024, so not that long ago. Her previous owner had her in a small dorm room and had posted on Snapchat that she couldn't keep her anymore. So I agreed to take her in. It was love at first site to me and now Nora is my everything.

I came home from work one day and found vomit on my floor and Nora was laying in her bed. When I picked her up to move her, she barely reacted. When I tried to entice her with toys, she was uninterested. I tried to feed her dinner and she ignored it. Then she vomited multiple times. I took her to the vet and they said she might have ate something. They've tried most routes, the next is surgery.

She is the sweetest girl. She warms up to people very quickly, she loves playing with toys, and she loves to cuddle. Her favorite toy is a fish on a stick. She loves jumping to catch it. She also loves laying with me on my bed when I'm doing homework or just watching a tv show.

I'm currently a college student making minimum wage at a job where I barely get 10 hours a week. Since this is all so sudden, meaning she was fine one morning and not fine in the evening, I was not prepared to deal with the medical bills she's already had, surgery is a lot.
