Norman is a 7 month old transgendered (male to female) mini golden doodle. He was adopted in March from a rescue. Norman was born with an underdeveloped penis requiring surgery to relocate his urethra, which was rerouted beneath the anus. The poor dog has been through so much in such a short period of time.

Norman is a cuddle bug, they like to greet each individual with a wagging tail, hugs, and kisses. Norman does not understand that they are not a small petite dog or understands boundaries. Norman gets along with all dogs, children, and other human beings that may come to visit. When Norman is not cuddling, they are playing with their sister (boston terrier).

Norman is a clumsy puppy. Despite their size, Norman has difficulty attempting to jump on the couch, even though they are taller than the furniture. When playing in the backyard, they will frequently trip over their own paws. Norman likes to greet others by attempting to give hugs. They will wrap their two big paws around your neck to give hugs and kisses.

Norman is currently being treated at the emergency room by their internal medicine specialist. Norman was neutered on Monday, June 12th. The vet that performed the surgery also removed more soft tissue and the rest of the penis as it was retaining fluids. The previous vet was dismissing our concerns after the surgery as Norman’s health continued to decline.

Norman is such a special puppy, who just feels the room with joy. This is really an unexpected financial burden with no emergency funds available, as it will cost over $6000 to cover his emergency treatment and upcoming surgical consult.
