Nova is a 3-year-old in New Market, AL, who needs $2,000 for hyperbilirubinemia; elevated liver enzymes; hepatopathy (cholangiohepatitis vs biliary tract obstruction).

We got Nova in 2018. She came from a family in TN who responsible breed a litter or 2 a year from their own pets. We made sure to not support a breeder who over breeds or a "puppy farm breeding" We visited this family multiple times before we got her. We also were careful to make sure her lineage was free of alot of the complications that bulldogs are prone to getting. She was spayed as well.

Nova is a goofball. She is either laying on the couch sleeping or rolling around being a silly girl. She is happiest outside sunbathing on the back porch or snuggled up to her sister Oakley who "allows" this because she doesn't have much of a choice haha! Her favorite toys are those that another one of her sisters are currently chewing on. And she will stand over it until she can snatch and run.

While she would be harmless to an intruder (don't tell them that), she will viciously bark and growl and circle any new item in our house. Balloons, plants and strange boxes are put in their place before they can harm us, thanks to her. I know she feels she has saved our lives from them countless times. She is especially aggressive with her dad's tape measure when he tries to un-reel it LOL

Nova suddenly went into liver failure and became lethargic on a Saturday. She had to be rushed to Huntsville Veterinary Specialists and Emergency where they diagnosed her wit cholangiohepatitis, pancreatitis and biliary disease. She stayed with them for 2 nights and they pumped IV fluids, antibiotics, steroids and other meds into her to try to save her life.

This was so unexpected and with the cost of her care exceeding $3000 it has placed a financial burden on us. Her care is far from over. Anything to help offset these costs would be so appreciated
