Nova was found over a year ago, soon after we lost our sweet kitty, Sheena, to cancer. She was originally thought to be dead, but she stood up and walked over to my sister's car, hopping up into her lap. We offered to foster her for palliative care, but she surprised us with her will to live and nursed her back to health. We captured our hearts, so we adopted her and it was the best decision ever!

When she was found, she was emaciated, had horrible Stomatitis, and parasites. She has the parasites treated along with most of her teeth removed and her jaw bone debrided. Her Stomatitis is now back with a vengeance and she needs dental surgery to remove a bad tooth and biopsy an oral mass that could be cancer. Our vet is Limestone Animal Clinic. We are praying it's not cancer.

Nova is my soul cat. I have many medical issues and we discovered she helps me with my anxiety, depression, and sits with me when I'm in pain. She gets me. She constantly wants to be held and we carry her often. She loves to carry toys in her mouth and cuddle with her favorite sister, Luna. All our cats and our dog love each other. She's the best part of our family. Our fur babies are our kids.

I have multiple chronic medical conditions and while I am able to work from home, I can't manage a full time job and often miss work due to pain. This greatly impacts our income. My husband does what he can to make up for it. Our pets are our babies and they are my life.
