Nova came into our life 2 months ago and quickly became part of our family. She is a 4-month-old Shih-Poo who stays indoors with us and is always by our side. We have only had her for a short time and built a strong and loving bond. She is playful, loving, and enjoys being around people. Her name was chosen because it fit her the meaning of her name is bright star.

Nova was recently diagnosed with a liver shunt a few days ago. She needs a lot of medical care, including CT scans, medications, and treatment to give her the best chance at a healthy life. This diagnosis has been emotional and overwhelming but we are doing everything possible to help her feel better and continue growing into the happy puppy she deserves to be.

Nova is special to my family because she is family! She is loving, playful, and always close to our family. Her best pet friend is Toothless they love playing together. She enjoys toys, treats, cuddles, and following us everywhere. Even with her liver shunt diagnosis Nova stays happy and brings comfort, laughter, and joy to our home daily on days she isn't feeling so well we all feel it.

Between medications, specialist visits, and ongoing treatment the costs have quickly become more than we can manage .These expenses were completely unexpected and without resources or help we are not able to get the surgery to give Nova a healthy life that she deserves.
