About this campaign
Hello I’m Elizabeth and my girl is Nova. Nova came to me by family friend making me aware of her litter and I traveled to get her. I planned to get her sister but changed my mind wanting her color and her for being the runt. Upon getting her did I truly realize just how tiny she was compared to her siblings.
Nova lives with me and my bengal cat Katniss. They truly love each other and play like siblings. Nova for the most part interacts like a normal puppy, but due to her issues sometimes she just is tired and sleeps and doesn’t behave like a normal puppy. This concerns us, the cat will check on her and sniff to make sure she is okay also. She is a love bug and loves to follow me everywhere!
Nova will bark at things out of place or if she sees the cat climbing the curtain. She definitely has a zest for life and lets her protective side shine through already. She knows her food bowl and if the cat thinks it’s hers nova is sure to remind her that’s mine. Nova is a tough little mite for being so small, she is a champion and fights.
I noticed Nova breathing heavier, and her heart rate high. Her first vet visit a murmur was found as well as a hernia on her pericardial layer. A surgeon and specialist has been referred. Testing needs to be done and surgery is likely recommended to correct this if Nova is to have a chance to live. As of now the surgeon is concerned about her murmur and believes this is birth abnormality.
I just divorced this year, I’m a single mom. This was not expected. It’s a costly event and I don’t want to euthanize this baby. She has grown on my son and I and I want to give her a fighting chance. I’m doing all I can and will do all I can for her.
