About this campaign

Nox was introduced to us as an 8 week old kitten. All of his litter mates had been adopted before he was. Alex and I have a soft spot for black cats so we bonded instantly. He is our only fur baby as of now. We adopted him in 2020 during COVID shutdown, 3 years after the passing of our beloved dog, Nani.

Nox stopped eating and drinking after having bouts of diarrhea for a week. He is very weak & sick. We realized he needed emergency care when medicines were not working. He is currently hospitalized & on IV but since he is being kept overnight for treatment & observation, the vet bill will be expensive. He is being treated at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Greensboro by Dr Turner & co.

Nox is special to us because of his unique personality and how quickly he bonded with us. He trills/chirps excitedly and happily all the time. He is an affectionate, playful, silly boy who loves to lick his dad’s chin and lie down on his parents’ chests for snuggles. He loves attention and will give visiting family nudges and head butts.

Our newly acquired pet insurance does not cover new illnesses or hospitalization due to a 14 day waiting period. We got his coverage before he became ill, but just recently enough that none of the services are covered because of this waiting period. ANYTHING helps!
