About this campaign
My fiancé finally let me get a mini doxie after waiting years to be able to be in a stable living situation and be able to afford one. I waited almost a month for the puppy and he finally came, they shipped him by truck because of covid. He was everything I dreamed of and more. I fell in love with him right away.
He is 11 weeks old and I noticed he was sick when we got him. He refused to eat and started throwing up for two days. I thought maybe it was because he was nervous coming to a new household but I took him to the vet and it was confirmed he had parvo. I had never heard of it before and when the vet explained it we were devastated.
I am a student I am currently on my externship as a medical assistant. It would mean the world to me to have nugget healthy again and to be able to take him home. I need help to keep nugget in the hospital for one or two more days so he has a chance at surviving,.
Nugget is currently at Boulder Road Veterinary Specialists in Lafayette, Colorado. His patient id number is 7772. He was diagnosed yesterday we had to pay $1700 to keep him there for one night. They said if we can keep him there for 3-4 days his chances of survival are really high. If we don’t pay the rest of the vet bill they said they can’t keep him and he will need to be put to sleep.
Nugget is very special. Not only is he the cutest puppy I’ve ever seen but his personality is adorable. Even though he was in so much pain he always made an effort to be in my lap and give me puppy kisses. He loved that I would take him everywhere with me and never put him down. He doesn’t deserve to die just because we can’t afford his hospital bills and because he has parvo.
