Nugget was found on the streets in absolutely horrific condition. He has no remaining fur, his skin is blistering and inflamed, his cropped ears are infected, and he was emaciated and dehydrated. On top of all of that, he tested positive for heartworm.

Despite being abandoned and left to fend for himself, Nugget is such a loving, sweet dog. His painful condition doesn't stop him from wanting to meet new people and lick their face.

Nugget has a long, arduous road ahead of him. It will take months for his skin to recover from the severe infection and he immediately needs to gain weight and rehydrate. Once his skin and ear infections start to heal, he will then need to undergo heartworm treatment.
